    古隆中位于湖北省襄樊市襄阳以西13公里的西山环拱之中，历史上著名的刘备“三顾茅庐”的史实和“隆中对策”都发生在这里。
gulongzhong was located 13 km in the west of xiangfan city, hubei province. the historical events that liu bei visited the thatched cottage for many times in history and conversation in longzhong took place here.

    以前曾读过几遍《三国演义》，古隆中成了我心驰神往的地方。某年5月，我到湖北襄樊（今襄阳市）参加了一个全国订货会，会议结束后，终于有机会一睹古隆中的风光。
i had read three kingdoms for a few times, and gulongzhong became my fascinated place. in may in some year, i went to xiangfan (now xiangyang), hubei province to participate in a national ordering meeting, and after the meeting, i had a chance to travel around gulongzhong.

    上午8点从市区出发，汽车沿着汉江岸边的公路西行，大约40多分钟就到了古隆中。这里是一处小山坳，入口处高高耸立着一座三门石坊，正中雕刻着“古隆中”三个大字，石坊两侧的门柱镌刻着一幅对联，是唐代大诗人杜甫的名句，上联是“三顾频烦天下计”，下联是“两朝开济老臣心”。此外，还刻有摘录自诸葛亮《诫子书》一文中的“淡泊明志，宁静致远”八个大字。
i started from the downtown at 8 o'clock and took a car along the shore of han river. it took more than 40 minutes to gulongzhong. there was a small col here. i saw a stone archway in the entrance. three characters of gu long zhong were engraved in the middle. a couplet was engraved on both sides of the goalpost of archway, which was du fu's poem. it was "visits to the thatched cottage to seek the national strategy for many times, the heart of an old courtier to establish and assist two reigns. in addition, it was inscribed with "indifference to fame and wealth and pursuit of a quiet life" from zhuge liang's literature of warning the generations.

    转过石坊，就是诸葛亮曾经“躬耕陇亩”逾十载的躬耕田。土地方方正正，很是整齐。再前行是小虹桥，据说刘备二顾茅庐时，在这桥边遇到诸葛亮的岳父黄承彦，见老人衣着不凡，误以为是孔明，便滚鞍下马，趋前问候，闹了一场误会，小虹桥却因此著称于世。
through the archway, i saw the farmland where zhuge liang tilled for 10 years. the land was square and neat. there was xiaohong bridge ahead. it was said that liu bei met huang chengyan who was zhuge liang's father-in-law on the bridge when he visited the thatched cottage for the second time. he saw the old man was dressed unusually and thought he was zhuge liang. liu bei descended from his horse and greeted him. it was a mistake, so xiaohong bridge was famous in the world.

按照导游的指点往前走，远远望去，只见小山脚下一座茅草屋掩映在绿树丛中，这就是茅庐，刘备当年“三顾茅庐”的地方。
according to the tour guide, i went ahead. i saw a thatched house in trees in a distance at the foot of the hill. this was the place where liu bei visited the thatched cottage for many times.

    茅庐前是一所小巧的院落、一条甬道直通茅屋门前。进入茅庐，正面墙上悬挂着陈寿的“隆中对”木刻匾额，侧面的书案两旁，诸葛亮和刘备的塑像栩栩如生，好像在谈论着什么。
there was a small courtyard in front of the thatched cottage and a road reached the front of the cottage door. when i entered the thatched cottage, i saw that a wood plaque of "long zhong dui" of chen shou was hung in front of the wall, the statue of zhuge liang and liu bei were vivid. they seemed to talk with each other.

    置身此地，遥想当年，浮想联翩——刘备失魂落魄之时，奔逃中马跃檀溪，夜宿水镜山庄，聆听司马徽先生“卧龙、凤雏，得一可安天下”之教诲。此后，徐庶走马荐诸葛，刘备求贤若渴，三顾茅庐，孔明畅谈隆中对，三分以定天下。从此，诸葛亮走出小山坳辅佐刘备，采取先取荆州立足、再取益州成鼎足之势、进而图取中原之战略；六出祁山、七擒孟获、力图中原，辅佐蜀汉两代王朝，鞠躬尽瘁、死而后已，直到病死于五丈原。
i stood here and looked back to the past years. i imaged that when liu bei was defeated in tan xi, had a rest in shuijingshanzhuang, and listened to sima wei that "if you had zhuge liang or pang tong, you would obtain the power". afterwards, xu shu recommended zhuge to liu bei, liu bei sought a talent and visited the thatched cottage for many times. zhuge liang discussed with him in longzhong about division of the country into three parts. from then on, zhuge liang departed from hills to assist liu bei. he took some measures to obtain jingzhou, yizhou, and then occupied central plains; he commanded his troops to leave qishan for six times, captured meng huo for seven times and tried to occupy central plains. he assisted two kings in the state of shu. he really devoted himself to the state till his death, and he died for illness in wuzhangyuan.

    “滚滚长江东逝水，浪花淘尽英雄。”——如今，三国的故事已离我们远去，沧桑巨变，物是人非，然而，“三顾茅庐”的精彩故事，“隆中对策”的神奇传说，以及诸葛亮的人品、智慧、才干和渊博学识却深深印在世人的心中。
"the ever-flowing yangtze has swept away heroes by its current”——today, the story of the three kingdoms had gone away from us. the world have changed and people have changed. however, the wonderful stories of visiting the thatched cottage for three times, the magic legend of conversation in longzhong and zhuge liang's bearing, wisdom, ability and knowledge were deeply in the hearts of people in the world.
